Fiber is the only technology that will deliver enough bandwidth, reliably and at a low enough cost, to meet the consumer demands of the next decade.

Conventional fiber optic network installation methods in urban areas include digging, plowing, trenching and horizontal directional boring. Which means you have always a traffic and pollution problem in dense city areas. These methods are also slow and less cost efficient.

CableRunner International is specialized in utilizing existing city underground infrastructures – such as sewer and storm drainage systems – for fiber optic cable deployments. This technology benefits installers in a number of ways: there are shorter construction periods, reduced installation costs, no traffic disruption, no or minimal excavation, no heavy equipment, no inconvenience to businesses or to the public, maximum protection by eliminating “hot cuts” or unintentional access to lit fiber, and the utilization of an environmental friendly technology.

The technology, patented by CableRunner, consists of installation solutions for all pipe sizes; particularly for small pipes robotic devices have been developed that perform the installation process inside the pipes.

This technology allows faster installation of fiber networks with significant and competetive cost advantages compared to conventional deployment systems.
